National Forest Policy of India envisages a minimum of 33% of the total geographical area under forest/tree cover to maintain environmental stability and ecological balance; which is vital for the sustenance of all life forms, human, and animal.

Telangana Ku Haritha Haaram, a flagship programme of the Telangana Government envisages increasing the present 24% tree cover in the State to 33% of the total geographical area of the State.

The Telangana State government is all set to launch Grama Jyothi programme across the State today and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will launch the programme at Gangadevipalli village in the Warangal district.

The Telangana Government has decided to Rs 25,000 crore towards the Grama Jyothi programme to empower villages and implement welfare schemes at village level.

The Chief Minister would also participate in the plant sapling programme in the village.


Telangana Beedi Workers Pensions under Aasara Scheme GO 29

The Government Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday signed the orders related to payment of Beedi workers pensions another Five Districts. monthly pension of Rs. 1,000 each to over 1.2 lakh Pensions to more Beedi workers from April. Total 2.56 lakh beedi workers are already being paid the pension.

According to new New Beedi workers pensions order, there are total 3, 77, 000 Beedi workers { Karmikulu } getting pensions


Beedi workers shall be 18 years above.

Poor Beedi workers started the beedi rolling by taking raw material from contractor before 28th February 2014 shall be eligible.

Beedi worker shall belong to a poor household as per the socio-economic criteria laid down

The beneficiary should have been recorded as a Beedi worker under the Samagra Kutumba Survey 2014.

Beedi worker herself /himself or any of the family members shall not be in receipt of an Aasara Pension under Old Age/ Widow/Handicapped/Weaver /Toddy Tapper category.

Beedi workers herself/himself or any of the family members covered under EPF pension for Beedi workers shall not be eligible for sanction of financial assistance to Beedi workers.

But In United Andhrapradesh The Driver Cum Owner Scheme Not Started.

The GHMC Started Driver cum Owner program for the unemployed youth who are interested in the field of driving to get an opportunity to hire with Government Departments / Private organizations / Cab Services.

The Applicant who applies for Driver cum Owner Scheme should be ready to contribute 15% of the project cost and willing to get tie up with bank for 85% of loan component.

Telangana Employees Health Scheme main aim to provide cashless treatment to all the State Government employees including the pensioners, along with their dependent family members through a EHS Network Empanelled Hospitals of Aarogyasri Health Care Trust.

The scheme will provide treatment in EHS Network Hospitals for all the listed therapies. Across Telangana state

Telangana Employees can apply for Health cards & access the more information of Health Cards through online. The Scheme is intended to benefit Serving employees and Retired employees of the state.

Aarogyasri Healthcare Trust has developed a separate portal ( for the scheme, enabling the employees and pensioners to log in and submit their e-application for enrolling themselves and their dependent family members under the scheme.

The trust, after preliminary verification of the online application, will generate temporary health cards, pending issue of permanent cards


Mid Day Meal in schools has had a long history in India. In 1925, a Mid Day Meal Programme was introduced for disadvantaged children in Madras Municipal Corporation.

By the mid 1980s three States viz. Gujarat, Kerala and Tamil Nadu and the UT of Pondicherry had universalized a cooked Mid Day Meal Programme with their own resources for children studying at the primary stage By 1990-91 the number of States implementing the mid day meal programme with their own resources on a universal or a large scale had increased to twelve states.

The Midday Meal Scheme is a school meal programme of the government of India designed to improve the nutritional status of school-age children nationwide.

The programme supplies free lunches on working days for children in primary and upper primary classes in government, government aided, local body, Education Guarantee Scheme, and alternate innovative education centres, Madarsa and Maqtabs supported under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, and National Child Labour Project schools run by the ministry of labour.

Serving 120,000,000 children in over 1,265,000 schools and Education Guarantee Scheme centres, it is the largest such programme in the world.

SHE TAXI SCHEME (RTA-trained drivers to steer She Taxis)

She’ taxi scheme, the Road Transport Authority (RTA) has enrolled 14 women in a 10-day fresher training session to teach them to drive on city roads.

Telangana government to give subsidies on cars to candidates who have been enrolled for driving course

All of those undergoing training have more than one year of experience driving on roads

Officials are considering car models which are maintenance-free and in the price range of Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh

57 persons had approached the RTA after it called for applications from women interested in becoming taxi drivers
